A combination of premium quality beef and pork, Landjager has an intense, savoury flavour and distinct taste of caraway seed which is followed by a pleasing aftertaste. Landjager is traditionally made in Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Alsace and is a semi-dried sausage. Its name is derived from folk etymology. Its firm texture makes it ideal to add to a caprese skewer of tomato, basil and mozzarella. It pairs especially well with beer.
